A photo diary post

I have so much to tell you because I am so behind: I don’t really know where to start.
I think I am going to do this post more as a photo journal because less writing is required – let the pictures do to talking.

First we start on Sunday when ToddlerJi went for her regular trip to Grandma’s house. Well the weather was beautiful: well maybe just a tad HOT!! Mom lives in Harrison Hot Springs, a small resort town situated on Harrison Lake. This is a beautiful glacier fed lake so it is clean, clear and COLD! Vancouver’s water actually comes from Harrison Lake and the hillsides are full of natural hot springs. It is personally an extremely boring place to be in the winter but lovely in the summer.
Well my mother is an avid boater and has gotten all her boating licenses and even has a boat.
This is my mom.

Well on Sunday ToddlerJi went for her very first boat ride and I am proud to say she never cried once. In fact she fell asleep.

We stopped at a friends dock out near the main island and it was so hot that ToddlerJi actually WANTED to go into the water. It was cold so dunking was all she was allowed to do. She loved it though. Mom took some pictures and a video for you all to see.

Then for the last few days we have been haying over here in the entire Fraser Valley of British Columbia. The farmers are embracing this scorching heat and getting all their fields cut. The hay is beautiful!!
Well we are a horse barn and need hay so we are filling up. Many wagon loads have already entered this property – two more are sitting in the back unloaded and I think dad is going to pull a couple of more off the field.
Not our fields, we buy this hay but this second cut is lovely!
We of course put Li to work: poor guy didn’t even know what a hay bale was until Monday.

After two days of scorching sun and chucking 40plus pound hay bales the guy was a little tired.

I drove the tractor in my little beige hat and a pink parasol to prevent myself from being burned. People were shaking their heads in amazement: I was very comfortable. There were no photos taken, hehehe.
