Tuesday, September 06, 2005 Where is Typhoon 14? It seems to have forgotten about us. NOT THAT I AM COMPLAIING! Last night JiXiang and I went home under gray threatening skies but there were no raindrops anywhere. In the evening the sky was a scary gray and the clouds were moving VERY fast. But it was soooo weird. The clouds were moving at tremendous speed and appeared so low they looked like they were skimming over top of the roofs of the apartments. But on the ground there was no wind at all. Totally still, almost dead, and so hot. When we went to bed we closed up most of the windows because we didn’t know when the typhoon would hit. It was muggy and hot and the fans were turned on full blast. But nothing came. No wind and almost no rain. The ground was wet this morning but from sprinkles. The weather forecast has turned from and umbrella you could not see behind rain, to an umbrella with only a few droplets. JiXiang and I went to daycare this morning by taxi just in case. The big test today will be Li. He has to go to the hospital to get his wisdom teeth pulled, if he doesn’t chicken out first.
