Shoppin, shoppin, shoppin

I buy the odd thing from the Foreign Buyers Club. It is a great group that will import all the stuff from home that is really hard to live with out. It is the best, or the worst depending on how you look at it, for when you have a candy craving.
Well they had a new catalogue out the other day. Very bad! Inside was a big bag of gummy bears. Ahhh... Now I can buy them here but in TINY bags for a LOT of money. This bag looked fairly big and reasonably priced so I said what the hell, and ordered it.
It arrived on yesterday.
HOLY CRAP!! HUUUUGGGGEEEEE bag. It was from Costco, need I say more.
I now have great munchies for my upcoming holiday.
I also ordered REAL FRUIT LEATHER!!!! Ahhh... Not the fruit roll up sugar crap. Real fruit. It tastes soooo damn good. And to make me happier the HUGE Costco sized box does not contain a single banana one. I HATE banana's.

So we headed out to the Fireworks last night. I wanted to be there by 6. It started at 7 and I knew there would be a lot of people. We went by bike so we left at 5:30. Li was bitching and complaining.
-Why do we have to leave soooo early, this is sooo stupid?
A shuttle bus full of people dressed in their yukatas whizzes by.
-THAT IS WHY!!!!
We got there and holy crap was there a lot of people. We found the bike parking area and then went in search of a place to sit. It was not the best place but it was not bad. We had a few branches from a cherry tree blocking our view but it was basically pretty good. I took video and will make it into photos later. I have no time today so youll have to wait till Tuesday. I think they turned out. Not sure yet.
JiXiang was great. I was worried about the huge bangs. Some kids get scared. She was all awed by it and was watching them totally interested. Then she passed out around 7:30 in her daddy's arms. She had a short nap until 8ish then woke up all lively and watched the rest of the show. She was a very good girl.
Kim met us there, which was nice. I haven't seen her for a few weeks so we were gabbing away the whole time. She gave me this great Kimono book for my birthday and bought JiXiang these cool crawling toys.

Yesterday JiXiang slid off of the bed (a height of about 2 inches) and crawled out of the room into the kitchen. But this time it was a REAL, ass in the air, tummy off the ground CRAWL! She was a little wobbly but she was pretty proud of herself. I phoned my father shortly after to tell him. He has been driving me totally mental, you have dad, insisting that I MAKE JiXiang crawl properly before she walks. Like I have any control over how she develops that skill.
-Get on the ground, crawl with. Tell Li to get down there. Teach her the leopard crawl (dont ask), help her move!! ( he then leaps into this spiel about hand eye coordination, mental development and shit that he repeats at least THREE times)
-Dad I am not discussing this with you anymore as you are driving me bloody crazy!!
-HAHAHAHAH!
This was not one conversation but every conversation with him for over a month now.
CRAZY!
Well now I can say, 'but she crawls already no problem.'
That and she is pulling herself into a stand on her own all the time. It is very freaky and hard on a parents state of mind. She is constantly toppling over and hitting her head on the ground. We have a softish floor but it still hurts. Half the time she giggles, the other half she starts wailing. Li wanted to go out and buy a double giant sized carpet yesterday as his nerves were getting frayed.
