NEC Rules

I get a new work computer tomorrow!!!!!
WAHOOOOO!!!!
It will be a brand new NEC lap top.
I am excited!

It turns out that our SBIS section (computer services something or other section) is actually a subsidiary of the company I work for and a tiny share is owned by NEC. Personally a little odd but what it means is that ALL of our hundreds of computers are NECs and they are replaced every two years or so. It is fancy cool! But very bad as Li and I really want a second computer. It is a bad teaser. I want a lap top and a Japanese OS based one. We have a lot of Japanese programs and they would run better on a Japanese OS computer. That and the kanji thing works better. That and then Li and I would not fight over who gets to use the computer.
The other day Li and I went to the big electronics store where mom bought her camera. Li had to buy an MD player for his moms friend. UGH! We detoured over to the computer section and they had a brand new NEC laptop, 60GB, 256ram, XP and Office, with Internet hook up already set up for 1200bucks! That was including tax. Very tempting.
