Brain Fart

Medea and I totally have to hook up just to belt out kereoke!!
hehehe

JiXiang's eye is almost healed but I will be a smart girl and finish all of the eye drops.
She is starting to become a real pro with eating. She allows the spoon now and is gets excited when I put her into her little eating chair. I am considering buying a real high chair soon as we seem to still be here. Hmm.
JiXiang is munching on squished grapes now, and tried some edemame beans the other day. She can not handle the fiber of watermelon and pineapple but we gave her the hard core of the pineapple to chew on and suck. She loved that.
My little girl is growing up way too fast.

So I got home yesterday and the house was sweltering because mom had been too worried about turning on the air con. I totally forgot to tell her that the plug was up in the wall but anyway. Everything works thank goodness!!
BUT!!!
At 1:30ish this morning, to my horror, mom crept into our bedroom to wake me up. The water was coming in again. I had a minor heart attack when I saw mom in her white evening gown and her blond hair hovering in my doorway.
Had an even bigger heart attack when we learned that the water was actually coming from the aircon. It was dripping from the actually air con part.
AUGH!!!
This is one of the down sides of having to use second hand stuff that is quite a few years old. It still works and seems to only start dripping around 1 in the morning after it has been on all day. The house is still cooled. Now that we know we will just make sure there is always a bucket underneath and pray that the aircon holds out until we leave Japan. If it doesn't we are just screwed as there is no way I am spending a thousand bucks for a new one!! It is going to cost a hundred just to send the old one to recycling.

Yesterday Li and his boss had a little private going away party; just the two of them. This is Li's last week of work and his boss really likes him. They have not been able to find anyone who lives in our vacinity to work at the factory and are too desperate for employees to be too choosy.
Last night the two of them went out for sushi dinner and then kereoke. They talked the night away. Li actually had his head slightly attached and had a brain fart.

He asked his boss about the companies shipping containers.

Li has been in panic mode over the cost of shipping all of our stuff back to Canada. He has been storming around the apartment
-Do you REALLY want to bring THIS?!? And what about THIS!?!? How the HELL are we going to get your Samurai Doll HOME!!!!!!???
It has been a bit annoying.
I have been worried about the cost as well. I was quoted 3 thousands bucks by one company. Kelly, who is moving back to New Zealand in January, has been looking at containers for around the same price. He and I have the same attitude:
-there is not a damn thing we can do about it and I aint leaving this stuff behind.
Kelly is going to ship all his furniture as well. Li is not too keen on this idea anymore. Mom scared him with the approximate cost of attempting to replace our sofa in Canada and Li is now in panic mode.
Well he had a brain fart and finally remembered that his work deals with a lot of different shipping companies. He talked to his boss about his panic attacks and his boss is going to look into whether or not they can ship much cheaper for us. I told Li that if we can get a really reduced price I am more than willing to live with the barest of necessities for a few months if it means saving a ton of money and getting my stuff to Canada as well.
Not definite but we are looking into it. Problem is that we still have not heard a single word from the Embassy. If I dont get a letter soon I am writing them again.
