!!!!FIRST!!!!
A HUGE Congratulations to my friend Aryan and his totally beautiful wife on the birth of their first baby. A little girl.
I am so excited by this!!!
She is only five months younger then JiXiang and I totally see these kids spending time with each other in the future. This is so wonderful as Aryan is a friend but it is totally multicultural as well.
JiXiang is a Canadian of Chinese, German and Scottish decent, Aryan's little girl is a Canadian of Dutch and Czechoslovakian descent.
The world is getting smaller in our children. I love it.

Second my web page is still all screwy and it is totally ANNOYING me. I have no idea why. Does anyone have any ideas?

A while back our friend Jean gave us a portable highchair for JiXiang.
It is only about a half a foot off the ground and made of rock hard plastic; it is perfect.
I am totally bringing it back to Canada with us. Even though her legs will be sticking out fairly far by then, it is so portable it can not be let go of. It is one of those things that is perfect to bring to a BBQ, camping, or to Christmas dinner.
Well it is time for JiXiang to start eating real food.
Last night I figured out how to put the chair together and how to get the tray on and off. Then I put JiXiang in it. She sat in her chair, with a tiny bit of towel support help, while we ate dinner. She played with her toys and thought her chair was the best thing in the world. She could watch us and she could play 'play-throw-whine and retrieve the toy' with her daddy.
Last night I, well actually Li, made a small batch of rice cereal. I put a weeks worth into individual little Tupperware things and into the freezer they went. I left a tiny bit for tonight.
Tonight will be the first trial. I am nervous. Stupid I know, but I am actually worried about the highly possible mess that that kid is going to create.
I always tell you how amazing, and smart and totally awesome my kid is,
which she is,
but her personality is starting to emerge and damn! She seems to have inherited her mommy and daddy's strong minded will. Personally this is great on an adult but I have now decided that it will probably totally suck on a kid.
We will see.
That and I tastes the cereal. BLACHHH! I will not subject her to it for longer than a week. If she seems to be eating without choking I will venture into other much better tasting areas.
