When his mom was here I used to fight with Li about ‘Daddy Time’.

I later noticed that the real problem was not so much Li but his mother. Daddy time was VERY short as she would take her from him, usually when Ji was at her cutest. She would also roll her eyes when I called for daddy time. Used to totally piss me off. I would call Li on it occasionally but it would just cause us to fight. I was a little worried that Li was going to fall into the habit of being a do-nothing-dad and that I was going to have problems once his mom went home.

Well I am proud to say that Li turned into an excellent dad the day grandma went home.

He comes home and cooks dinner, helps wash dishes and clear, and happily takes Ji often without me even asking. He will even stop a movie to play with her.

And Ji loves to play with her daddy. It almost makes me jealous but I am too proud to be.

During my private English class on Monday I asked Li to take Ji because she diaper was wet. Normally Ji stays with us during class because she LOVES spending time with them and they LOVE her. She creates many topics for conversation.

Li instantly appeared at the door and took her. The ladies all went

ooooo. Nice daddy. What a good situation.

Right now she is sitting in her rocking chair. I would love for her to fall asleep so that I can have a quick shower. She is not cooperating. I have to return to work. I slept in and feel better but I still have my cold – coughing and a very sore throat.

Gotta go and start getting ready.
