Thursday, May 26, 2005 The daycare where JiXiang goes offers little baby English classes one night a week. I have heard the kids screaming 'A-B-C-D' at the top of their lungs on the odd occasion that I have walked by there at night. Well someone told the kids that foreigners dont bow when they see each other, like the Japanese people do - they shake hands. Well every evening this week, when I pick up Ji, I now have to shake every child's hand at least once, sometimes twice. It is soooo cute. The oldest boy, who is 4 and tends to stick to himself, even comes over for his hand shake now. In JiXiang's daycare book, where they keep track of every time she eats and sleeps, the lady wrote that all the kids LOVE JiXiang and added little hearts to emphasize just how much. Needless to say, Ji loves going to daycare in the morning. She hates getting up, but when she realizes she is off to day care she is all smiles. It is also one less thing for a worry wart like me to think about.
