This morning I set off a domino effect of falling bikes in the Sumitomo parking area. I watched all passive, as there was nothing I could do, until I noticed that bike number 5 was not a bike but a scooter. This piercing NOOOOO came out of my mouth, which seemed to create some sort of wind tunnel that stopped the domino line.
The scooter did not fall.
Even better, my scream did not attract any embarrassing attention.

Have you ever heard Chinese folk music?
Now Japanese folk music is personally bloody boring, but the Chinese stuff can cause headaches and brain aneurysms. It almost all sung by woman at an octave level only about two below that of a dog whistle.
I hate it.
Li doesn't mind the Chinese folk music and his mother loves it.
Every morning, and through out most of the day, she puts on her Walkman and sings to herself. I am very happy that she is wearing a Walkman, the problem is that she sings out loud. Some people have no ability to sing. I am one of those people and I recognize that. I do not subject others to my hideous screeching. Li's mother does not seem to be aware that she really can not sing these songs.
Well yesterday morning I was nursing JiXiang and grandma started to sing.
JiXiang covered her ears.

I had the worst sleep last night.
One, I am a tad nervous about my meeting with the manager today. I have to tell him I am leaving. The fact that I can not give him an exact date is what has me really worried. I will fill you all in on the happenings of this meeting tomorrow.
The other reason I couldn't sleep was because of Li.
Now this is not a negative reason, it just had my head spinning.
He crawled into bed last night and goes
- My mom leaves on the 15th of next month. I am going to stop working on that day to look after JiXiang.
I just went
- ohh. Ok.
But due to my overly active brain I started adding up money. Not an easy feat when you are as bad at math as I am. Due to summer time business at Li's work being very slow, he is not working any over time. His pay cheque is still decent but not as high as it was a few months ago. Therefore, I still make more than him each month. Neither of us wish for Ji to go into a daycare yet as she is so young. Li's decision is a good one, it just had me reeling and thinking all night.
JiXiang slept all night but I woke up about three times and dumped freshly pumped breast milk all over the kitchen floor. Focusing was not working this morning.
So hence the bike dominos this morning.
