Today is Monday but Li and I both had a work holiday, so we brought his mom to the bird park.

This place is fast becoming on of the main spots that I bring visitors. This is ok as it is always fun.

I think his mother enjoyed herself and I think Li did as well. I have a funny feeling that Li is starting to suffer from allergies as he has a red eyed look and he slept well. Kim noticed that allergies are affecting her for the first time this year as well. She is not in a very good mood about it.

Anyway, we went to the bird park and took many pictures. JiXiang was excellent of course.

As you will notice Li’s mom loves to pose for pictures. The natural look is not her style. It is both irritating and humorous at the same time. You can really tell that she is not a nature lover when you bring her to places like this and is more into the city and shopping. This place has the most amazing flowers and I don’t think she stopped to look at a single one. Sad. Even Li commented on them. I pointed the ceiling out to her she looked up nodded and went back to trying to get the birds attention.

She is not really into temples and cool old things either, so I am not sure what we are going to do for fun stuff later.

Next weekend is the cherry blossom festival. They sting lights in the cherry trees and the entire city goes for an evening stroll under the trees all lit up. I have never done it before and am determined to go this year. It is supposed to be very beautiful.
