Things have gotten much better. Grandma has accepted the fact that I am the mom. She has started to figure out JiXiang’s schedule.

Today we attempted Grandma’s first bottle feed.

UGH! It was almost a disaster. JiXiang finally gave in the end but was not going to go for a second bottle of top up when she knew I was in the room. Going to have to continue trying, so that it goes much smoother. Hmm…

Tomorrow I REALLY want to get a hair cut.

Got a phone call from the Tokyo embassy today. Have to send my wallet birth certificate and this name declaration tomorrow. Li and I have to sign this special paper so that we can have Ji’s full name in her papers – JiXiang Meister Li. In Japan they don’t do middle names so her birth certificate has no Meister. They are used to that annoyance here so there is a set declaration that we just have to copy and change the names, then sign. No problems.

Will send that off first thing tomorrow morning.

That and Ji will not have her afternoon nap so she will HOPEFULLY sleep well tonight. She did almost 5 hours last night. FELT GREAT!!!

On a note of humor..

Li has been coming home at a pretty decent time every night and has been cooking dinner every night. NOT HIS MOM!! This is very strange. Li’s mom has never had his cooking before and really enjoys it. This afternoon he phoned and actually gave his mother instructions on how to start dinner for him because it needed to cook for a bit longer. She actually wrote down instructions!! (Huge happy face here if I could)
