::Andrea's Rambling Notes - once from Japan, now from Canada::
::Author::  Name::Andrea From::Small city/town, B.C., Canada I am a short girl from the west cost of BC, Canada and I am a proud Canadian. I went to Japan in 2000 because my Dad told me I would regret it for the rest of my life if I didn't. He was right. I lived a good life found my husband from the other side of the world and have a beautiful daughter. Basically we lead a pretty normal life filled with normal ups and downs. We both come from different cultures: me Canadian, him Chinese. Living in Japan was a real eye opener about who I am and about the people I associate myself with. I lived and loved in Japan but the time to move on came upon us and in May of 2006 we left and moved to Canada: a huge move for us all. We are now trying to start up again, remodel our lives and create our future for our family. I now feel like a tourist in the country of my birth, my eyes see different and my life will be forever changed. Wednesday, December 01, 2004 OH MY GOD!!!! One of my students used my name in a fight with his wife. I am probably going to be run down on the street. Last week Mr. K and I were talking about his upcoming weekend plans. He wanted to go orange picking with his two daughters. His younger daughter could go no problem but his 11 year old would probably have to study. I reacted typically - STUDY! She studies every weekend and goes to Juku (cram school) every night, give the poor girl one day off to enjoy herself and be a kid! He agreed with me totally and said that the problem was not him but his wife who is a little more adamant about her studying for her high school entrance exams. (crazy country) Any way... The dip was having an argument with his wife about letting the older girl go to the orange grove with him and he goes "Well Andrea said........." Oh my god! He won and ended up having a beautiful day with his girls and she got one day of rest from studying. I now have to watch that I dont bike anywhere near where they live. I can not believe he dragged my name into it!!!!
