With all the things that can really piss me off in this country I have to give them credit for a few things.
One:
SERVICE.
They have really taken that word to a whole new level.
You go to a gas station and they give you a cloth to wipe down the inside of your car. They empty your ash tray and take your garbage. They dry wash your window because water is too messy. Very nice.

Car salesmen come to you not the other way around. They actually go to the factories during lunch hour with about 7 different types of cars for you to crawl all over. There is usually a draw of some kind and at least one sales person per car.

The red cross comes to your door. They come to the companies in these very convenient buses for you to give blood. They also park down town on weekends so that you can pop in during shopping binges. That and they give you presents and a COMPLETE free work up of your blood - white, red, cholesterol, iron you name it they check it and write it all down on a little card that is delivered to your door. Giving blood for free is like going to the doctors and spending money on a total blood check.

You can pay your phone, and some other bills at the 7-11.

I will admit that not everyone here provides excellent services but those that do are not easily forgotten. The banks offer, well, none and some of the home amenities companies could be improved. But overall there are some things that our companies back home could learn.
