Supposedly I can put my picture on this new template but I haven't figured out how yet. That and I need a picture that doesn't make me cringe.

So yesterday afternoon my friend Taka and his wife had a baby boy. He is spinning. He wanted to be a daddy so badly. The kid is 3048 grams. Does anyone know what that is in kilos or pounds cause I sure dont. Taka being the odd dude that he is has named the child Meito. Supposedly it means friendly person. Really he just liked that it sounds like 'Hey Mate'. You would have to meet Taka to really understand.
But he is happy.
This name is only tentative but I think he is going to keep it. Japanese people do not official name their children until they are two weeks old in a Shinto ceremony of some sort. I have never been to one. My friend Dan thinks that it is just like a Catholic christening thing just that they do not traumatize the kid and make it cry by pouring water on them. hehehe. Dan is a raised Catholic with a non catholic attitude.

Oh and dearest Taka didn't even watch his kid being born. He chicken out and left during the final part. Chicken shit! Here the men have that option. A short while ago men were not allowed in the delivery room but now it is allowed by choice.
Li has no choice when it is our turn. He is going to be hand cuffed to the delivery bed and he is going to understand pain!! Did I tell you they have no drugs here for childbirth. Totally natural girls. AUGH!!
