I talked to Grandma this morning.

It was a really nice talk with no tears and a lot of reality.
It was good.

She was saying how for the last 5 years she has been going to the nursing home 3 days a week to spend time with Grandpa and talk to him about all the stories from the old country.
I told her she could keep telling the stories as I have not heard them all. She started laughing and said she has been talking Lydia`s ear off.
I told her to write a book so that there was some record of those stories. She of course laughed me off but I really am serious. We need a record of these stories. Grandma is a great story teller. She is so funny when she does it.
Maybe we should hire some English major from the university to write a book. One of the last year students that need to do a last paper thingy. It would be an amazing book and then we would have it all down on paper.
LYDIA start sneaking a pocket tape recorder into the house and start recording Grandma`s stories.
When we loose her we are all going to regret not having taken the time.
You have to admit that Grandma and Grandpa lived a pretty amazing life.
It is a life worth remembering and telling.
It is one with many lessons of courage and family values. And a big one in believing in yourself. It is something that I want my children, when I have them, to listen to and know.
Hmmm

Does anybody have any other ideas on how we could go about this?
Comments people we can not loose this piece of our history. It is such a proud history.
