::Author::  Name::Andrea From::Small city/town, B.C., Canada I am a short girl from the west cost of BC, Canada and I am a proud Canadian. I went to Japan in 2000 because my Dad told me I would regret it for the rest of my life if I didn't. He was right. I lived a good life found my husband from the other side of the world and have a beautiful daughter. Basically we lead a pretty normal life filled with normal ups and downs. We both come from different cultures: me Canadian, him Chinese. Living in Japan was a real eye opener about who I am and about the people I associate myself with. I lived and loved in Japan but the time to move on came upon us and in May of 2006 we left and moved to Canada: a huge move for us all. We are now trying to start up again, remodel our lives and create our future for our family. I now feel like a tourist in the country of my birth, my eyes see different and my life will be forever changed. Sunday, April 25, 2004 Well I am at work and my first class was canceled due to an emergency meeting. I am expecting this week to be quite boring actually. It is the week before the holiday and many of my students will not show or will cancel because of time problems trying to get things done before the holiday. Thinking of this I have to do the computer stuff to take a couple of days off. I am not working on a Saturday. There is no use as no one else will be here, so no students to teach! Anyway Jean and I played tennis last night. We had a really good time. The wind was blowing pretty crazy though and we were hitting some pretty interesting curve balls. Hehhe Mr. Arita just farted (thankfully on the other side of the room) but poor Mr. Baba has the fan out and waving and saying some awful thing to him. Hehehe. I am so glad my desk is over here now. Li is still at home. His boss said it was not worth it for him to go back to work this week. He would only be back for three days before the holiday starts and they are not very busy right now anyway. This has a good side and a bad side. The good is that he is at home the bad is one month of no money. EEKKK!! Good thing his last pay cheque was really good and we have not even touched it yet, so we are fine. I am just a stress freak. So the golden week holiday starts on Thursday. It is a mix of many holidays - Green Day, Constitution Day, Children's Day, and a Labour Day. The country goes crazy traveling but this year I think we are going to join them. It is the only time we can so we have to do it. We are thinking of two days in tourist filled Kyoto, a day at FujiQ the tallest roller-coaster YAA!!!! A day in Mishima cause that is where Dan moved and a day getting the last of my paperwork for my drivers license. This is all talk now nothing is set in stone yet. You can be guaranteed that many pictures will be taken, so be ready for more craziness. Hehehe
