The next two days, Monday and Tuesday were spent in Vancouver and were the start of our crazy non-stop tourist action. We took the greyhound to Vancouver and met up with Nils and Z. We had a wonderful afternoon in China town. Li was very happy with the food and he found a few books. We went for a lazy drive around meandering through UBC on our way to the Anthropology museum. We got there and were totally let down as the museum is closed on Mondays. We did walk all around it and explored all the outside totem poles. Took tons of pictures. We also discovered the battlement canon thingy area next to the museum that was kind of cool. It was a perfect outside day.

We then meandered our way over to Granville Island and did a bit of shopping and walking around. We ate way toooooo much at the Keg and then headed up the mountainside to take some awesome pictures of the city in lights. A very nice day.

Lydia picked us up the next morning and we headed out to China town again. Li was really happy with the food there and he wanted some more books. We did a drive through Gas Town and all over actually. Basically a very nice scenic drive all over, including the English Estates. I have a funny feeling that is the wrong name though.
We also went to one of the suspension bridges. The free one. Capilano is too expensive. We took tons of pictures and went for a nice hike. We then headed to the Anthropology Museum, which by the way is open late on Tuesdays and is free after 5. We did one quick detour to a clothing shop that Z told us about called the Dragon and The Phoenix. Picked up a lovely pair of slacks and a beautiful white blouse for 40$. YA! The museum was really nice. We lost Lydia in the Fiji Islands section. Took lots of cool pictures and listened to the tours that were going around. Very nice.
Later we hooked up with cousin Paul at Steamers and had a drink before heading out for Korean food and then a small jazz concert. Nice music.

Dad picked us up the next morning and we were off to Whistler. Li was starving so we stopped in Horseshoe Bay for a VERY nice lunch. Dad and I were quite impressed. We headed out to Whistler and had a heart attack at the size of our hotel room. Dad’s time-share sure pays off!!! We did nothing in Whistler but relax. We went shopping and strolling around. Dad and I went for a nice hike/walk around the golf course and then I went for a massage and had my eyelashes dyed. Li made dinner that night and Dad decided that the two of them should open up a restaurant together. Dad loved Lis borsht.
The next day we were off heading to Horseshoe Bay again to catch the ferry to Nanaimo but we stopped for a quick look at the copper mine on the way. We found a perfect gift for Lis mother’s birthday present in the little gift shop there.
