There is nothing more refreshing than brushing your hair when you are tired.
It is true. When you are working and the computer and work are getting to you go and wash your face and brush your hair. Wonderful!

So in my dearest province of Shizuoka it is disaster practice day. All over the place there are disaster practice scenarios happening, the disaster alarm sounded at 8:30 this morning calling people to action, and it is hot.
Doesn't involve me in any way - I am at work, but it is quite interesting.
Actors are hired to play the injured or trapped. Volunteers play dead. The firemen and all emergency crews are involved as well as each neighborhood.
In my neighborhood they are practicing fire extinguishing. We, and I am assuming all neighborhoods, have a portable fire hose. It is generator operated but the water is acquired from the open water sleugh system that runs around here. A large group of neighborhood volunteers go and are taught by local firemen how to quickly assemble and put to action this portable hose. They actually practice spraying and everything. It is kind of cool. They are also taught basic life saving skills.
This is something that happens on a fairly regular basis in this province and basically all over Japan. Especially here as we are only in the worst area in the world for a huge earthquake that is 20 years overdue now.
UGH!

I have a headache. Too much shouchu on Saturday night. Taka must die. He was pouring triples. UGH! It is taking me days to recover.
We are half packed though.
Soon soon.
