Little Chinese Girls Chasing Rainbows in a Pile of Golden Leaves

Phew – ToddlerJi has gone to bed so I am allowed to write on the computer now.
She is very demanding of our after work time together. I cant complain – I love every minute of it.

I have been crazy busy the last few days, there have been so many photos that I want to post for you but I haven’t had the chance: final exam is coming!!
I actually only have one class left before the exam and the last three nights have been spent with my head buried in my books to complete our final project that is worth 50 percent of our mark. FREAKY!
I actually know that I did really well as my teacher showed me before I left class last night. She didn’t have a score yet but I had no major mistakes, just minor stupid things.
YAA!!

So first is Halloween!!!

ToddlerJi went to daycare dressed in her little Chinese Girl dress.
She thought it was the best thing in the world and loved going up to people and saying – “Look!” Yes she is a show off.

And last weekend we spent Sunday at my mothers house and while sitting there and reading the newspaper classifieds I found a dining room table set with six chairs for under 200 bucks! Yaa!
We headed straight over there and bought it.
Haven’t picked it up yet though as it is POURING RAIN OUT!
Driving home today after work I barely broke 90kms/hour on the freeway – it was my first heavy rain storm on the freeway in quite a few years so I was a little tense. My next big expenditure is not actually going to be for the house (which we take possession of in only a few days) but on winter tires for my car. Ouch!

Anyway, Sunday was a beautiful day, minus the freak snow storm that happened earlier that day,

and a perfect opportunity to take some photos of the amazing fall colours. The colours on the mountains are so amazing this time of year – it is like a post card around every corner. Wow!

We also got a video of ToddlerJi having fun on her little toy car at Grandma’s place.

And then last week I picked up ToddlerJi from daycare just after a drizzle when the sun came out – THE RAINBOW WAS WOW!! Even ToddlerJi kept going “ooohhhhh”. It was a double rainbow and after we got home we both ran to get the camera and then ran out into the field across the road to take some photos.

It was a perfect picture day in the land called “Rainbow country”. Seriously we care called “Rainbow country”. This is just one of the many benefits of living in a rain forest.
