Interviews, Giants and Music

Oofff…
A few days have passed and well…
I had a job interview and I WANT THIS JOB!!!! I need to work on the follow up now and really make my case to them.
Li had an interview and he has a job as a chef. Better wages, he just has not decided what he is willing to give to this boss yet in terms of time and talent. The guy would like for Li to design him a new menu for a new restaurant but Li needs to really think about this.

Then on Saturday we went to my grandmother’s 82nd birthday party. It was also a party for my step-moms birthday, our wedding anniversary (4 years), and a good bye to my Aunt and Uncle who are moving to Indonesia to work, and a good bye to my cousin who is leaving to go to a New York University on a full tennis scholarship.
Ahhh…

A lot to celebrate: so it was a big family gathering and a hell of a lot of fun.
It was great seeing everyone. The cousins have all grown soooo much – Derek (tennis boy) is now 6foot6 at 22 years old, Stuart (basketball boy) is 6foot7 at only 15 years old, and my second cousin Daniel (soccer girl) is only 13,a walking runway model bombshell and soooo tall!!!
My aunt and her family just put in a pool so we all had to christen it. Hehehe. ToddlerJi’s eyes just about popped out when she saw it and the cousins having fun in there. She stayed in her party clothes for all of five minutes before she was in the pool.
The weather was perfect and we had a wonderful time.

Today we headed out to Harrison Hot Springs for their Art Festival.
We went for the Japanese Taiko Drums that were being played outside. They were not very good if you have heard the great stuff from Japan like I have, but they still struck a homesick cord and I cried.
ToddlerJi was silent the entire time; she watched enthralled. She had heard them before in Japan and I think even she was remembering a bit too.

Then we headed with my mom to Muddy Waters to get an ice-cream and listen to the live music there. People were dancing in the streets including my mom. Hehehe

After that we happened upon the last bit of a Punjab-Canadian Pop band that were really very entertaining to listen to. They had people bopping away.

Then we went to eat sushi with my mom and one of her friends. Not the best sushi out there, as a very ANNOYING Li kept pointing out, but by Canadian standards it was pretty good.
