Saturday, July 01, 2006 Canada Day 2006! Happy Birthday Canada!! YAAA!! Today is Canada Day and the weather was perfect in every way – warm, clear blue skies with a lovely breeze blowing through. In the past I used to spend this day riding or putting around the farm. I never really joined in any festivities around town. Now that I am back and have a daughter and a husband who has never experienced anything over here I am making a real effort to do things, see things and experience things. I am really glad I have decided to do this. Today we headed out to Heritage Park; the fair grounds in this town, to check out the Little Britches Rodeo, the chili cook off and bring ToddlerJi for her very first pony ride. Weird I know, we are a horse farm but she has never ridden yet – all our horses are far too large and unsafe for her at the moment. These pony-ride ponies were perfect height. We had a pretty decent lunch at the hotel and then Li went parasailing. Wahoo!! He had no idea what hit him. Then we went for a drive before returning home, having dinner and watching TV. Video Hosting - Upload Video - Video Sharing Video Hosting - Upload Video - Video Sharing A perfect Canada Day, I think.
