A day off day

I am on holiday today.
I thought it was ruined when Li told me that he didn’t have to go to work today, but it has not been too bad.
I woke up at my usual time this morning and brought JiXiang to daycare like normal.
I came home to do some news reading and then headed out for a pedicure.
Yes, today was a MEEEEE day. Felt great too.
First I had a pedicure that I am happy I did. I have bright red toes with flowers on them and she fixed my totally screwed big toe that I had stubbed on the damn table.
Grr..
She also fixed one of my fingernails that I had somehow broken.

Then it was off to a professional back massage.
Ahhhhh..
I haven’t had a massage since just before JiXiang was born. IT FELT GREAT!
I was so relaxed after I couldn’t see straight. I probably would have fallen asleep on the table if it weren’t for my milk filed breasts screaming to be drained.
The thing is, all this me me me stuff woke up my tired tits and milk production is back on track.
I then picked up JiXiang and it was play time.
After feeding her, Li took over and I just awoke from an almost 2 hour nap.
Turning into an ok day.

JiXiang is quite fun to play with right now. She is strong enough to stand holding onto something for hours, so we have been trying to teach her how to roll things on the table. Li has been attempting sword play games with little wet restaurant towels wrapped in plastic.
She has also started playing pick-a-boo. So hilarious!
She gets a full belly laugh when you play it. She has even started to play.
She stands at the table and bends down so her eyes are below the table line then pops up smiling and starts laughing. She tries to make a ‘boo’ sound that comes out more like a ‘wooph’.

She is also giving me a bit of a worry headache.
She seems to be allergic to dust. Not in the sneezing, coughing sense. She is allergic to it when she touches it.
Is that then dust mites?
She has a runny nose all the time but she had that before this dust thing started. I think it is more from the air coned daycare.
When she touches dust she gets welts. Big red ones! I wash them and what not but they take about a week to disappear. I clean the floor every day and try to get into the cracks as best I can. I am dusting more often and I HATE DOING IT.
Doesn’t matter, she is still finding stray dust pieces somewhere. Her face has one or two spots but her feet look terrible.
So far it has not gotten to a point where I am worried about going to a doctor. It just is bugging me. She does not even seem to notice.

She is also a thief!
It is a little embarrassing. The daycare people wrote in her book that JiXiang is a little scary (polite way to say bad girl) in that she keep stealing everyone’s things and has started to pull the kids bags off the shelves and rummage through them.
At home she has realized that if she pretends she is trying to grab one thing from us but then quickly grabs the other thing we have, we can’t react fast enough. The moment of awed pride wiped away quickly when she stole my fork while heading for the chopsticks.
Grr..
