Tuesday, July 05, 2005 During canceled classes and lunch I have been thinking about my school 'friends' and what I last heard about them. hmmm - this is all that I can recall.... -Tera got married, had twins and went to dig for gold. Literally. Dont know if they are still trying. -Lori went to bible school in Alberta somewhere. -Charlene went to university and got 110% on her first biology exam, but was yanked out of school by her doctor due to anorexia. She almost died from her disease but I do believe she has beat it. She even testified on behalf of her doctor from Victoria who saved her. Remember that big scandal on Vancouver Island some years back about a doctor who was force feeding her anorexic patients. Char was there and lived. We actually went out to a movie in the middle of all that personal hell. -Cheryl got married and they own the flower shop in their little town. She came to the greenhouse to get the flowers for her wedding. I made sure I picked the best ones for her. I always liked her. -Lexa was studying sign language. -Koralea, spelt wrong, went traveling through Asia looking for her culture (she is adopted). I was told she joined a cult but that is probably total BS. -Chris was a jock and never my friend but the last time I was in Canada he was still working at Save-On probably getting paid a lot more than me. -The other Chris E got married to a radio announcer from Rock 101.1. I know this only because they were joking with her about it on the radio. -CJ was a jock who I had the biggest crush on, he went to university to be an architect, quit and did something else for Stolo Fisheries. He follows the Rodeo circuit as a bronco rider. -His cousin Helmer went against his dad and went to U.Vic as a music major, specializing in clarinet. He had the most beautiful hands. -This girl whose face I can see totally clearly but her name I can not remember, went on to study teaching for handicapped children. Her little sister came to my house once to see the horses. She is autistic and loves horses. -This other girl who was part of our group because she needed the stability due to her screwed up family life, fell into spiraling circle of welfare that she so desperately wanted out of. The last I heard she was a single mother. -Sasha was my waitress at a restaurant the day before I left for Japan for the first time. She looked great. She was a happy mom and her and her husband were putting themselves through university. -Oewen Bollerup died on the operation table due to complications from a car accident. I went to his funeral and cried so hard. I had known him since I was 6. -Yvette reconnected with me via the Internet and is probably reading this right now. She is in California and happily married. There were a little over 100 people in my grad class and this is all I know of them. My friend from the other side of the freeway is still my best friend and we plan on our kids growing up together.
