I had an expensive weekend.

But I had fun doing it!
We bought a video camera!! It is not in my hands yet as they didnt have my colour in.
Colour?
Yes my camera is PINK! Hehehe
It is way too cute. It is called a 'baby cam' and is by Victor. We were comparing four different cameras in out price range. This got whittled down to two after we compared the battery life and size. It was between a Sony or a Victor. The guy recommended the Victor as the picture quality of the digital camera part was much better. We bought the Victor.
It fits comfortably in my hand and is quite light. The battery is excellent but I might buy a second one later due to power differences between China and Japan. Only problem is that a battery costs 200bucks so I may wait a bit on that. I bought another extra huge video card as well. This is a digital video camera that I can just down load onto my computer and have fun with. No tapes to deal with. I can then have fun making movies and editing and going basically crazy. Hehe. It takes normal pictures as well. The menu is in about 5 different languages, so Chinese and English is no problem.
It is sooo cute!! Mom if you are coming to Japan I will have it then and we can have FUN!
I do need to go out and buy a DVD burner though. Then I can take these videos and make DVDs for all of the grandparents.
I am going to have so much fun wasting so much time.

.....

We spent the rest of the weekend taking advantage of the major sales happening. Many were 50 % off sales plus the advantage of an extra 5 to 20 % off due to the type of credit card I use. At those prices it doesn't matter if we buy in China or in Japan. Even Li's mom was buying clothes.
Li found himself two wonderful kaki pants and then was on the hunt for some new summer T-shirts.
After trying on so many clothes he came to a startling realization.
He has gained weight.
Not that you can bloody see it though as he is still skinny. He jumped into bed on Saturday night and in good humour stated to do some push ups. He collapsed at 3 and his humour was gone very quickly. He then started to inspect his lack of pecks and the six pack that seems to have faded. Last night he stood on the scale and almost screamed. He has gained almost 5 kilos. Still can not see it though. He is now determined to do sit ups and push ups every night. He wants to add two every night. Only problem is that his arms were killing him yesterday after only doing 8 push ups.
- I am getting old!!
He says with a sob.
- No honny you are just not a little boy anymore. Personally I think you look just fine.
He is proud of the fact that all of his clothes still fit and that he still looks good in clothes. He considers himself to have the perfect body type and size. He gets this from his years at design school. He says this while hemming his pants with totally PERFECT EVEN stitches. I bairly got a 'C' in sewing class!!

Last night after shopping I went on a hanger binge and went crazy in the closets. A while back I had started to get rid of all the wire hangers. They totally screw up the skirts and leave terrible marks on white shirts. Well last night I completed this cleaning and Li and I went through our closets throwing out the old and unworn. I also had to buy special hangers for skirts, the kind with the clipy things on them. I bought a few skirts on the weekend - 2 way stretch! And two suits.
Kristen you would be soooooo proud of me!!
A few years back Kristen brought me shopping while I was in Canada and she chastised me harshly for always buying dark clothes. Well her words have stuck and my closet is an amazing rainbow. I bought two great skirt suits yesterday - one is PINK and the other is white.
I also have a half rainbow of shoes! I have soooooo many shoes. I wont say how much as it is embarrassing but I went on a bit of shoe organizing craziness last night. Much better.
I had them all laid out in the closet room and Li comes in and shakes his head.
- If your dad was here he would go 'OH MY GOD'.
Li does a perfect imitation of Dad and his 'oh my god' while smacking his forehead. He also gets a kick out of doing it and giggles after.
I do a good - bleeeppppp - with full spittle flying.

...
While shopping yesterday JiXiang had reached a point of enough and started crying. I took her out of the stroller to comfort her and spend some time with her. I had so that she was leaning over my shoulder. I was patting her back and humming to her.
Then I heard her giggle.
I turned and there was this grandpa holding his grandson of about 10 months. The boy and JiXiang were fascinated with each other. They were both giggling and amusing everyone. When it was time for them to move on grandpa went 'bye bye' and the boy waved. So I picked up Ji's arm and waved bye for her, only she didnt put her arm back down. She actually kept it up for a bit and tried her own bye bye.
The girl is not even three months old and she has already made her first boyfriend. Maybe she is just a little TOOOOOO much like her daddy.
hmmm
