MOM!! DAD!! Can you two remember which thumb I sucked as a kid? I think it was my left. Hmm..

The reason why I ask is that JiXiang has started sticking her hands in her mouth already and a few days ago she started sucking her thumb sometimes. Yesterday I noticed that it was always her left thumb that she was sucking. Now I am wondering if she is going to be left handed.

At first I was a little upset about that.

Yes I know that I am left handed but have you ever tried to write kanji (Chinese writing) with your left hand? IT IS BLOODY HARD!

Kanji was designed to be written right handed. There is a stroke rule and not the chickens scratch that so many think. My kanji looks like a two year old did it.

But Li has decided that left handed is good as the most famous calligraphy painter in China was left handed. Poor girl will just have to practice that much more.

Right now I just wish she would sleep more. I don’t know if it is a growth spurt or a clingy faze but for this entire week she has not slept ALL DAY!! Al she does is 5 to 20 minute power naps and then demands full attention or she cries. It is exhausting.

Last night she didn’t sleep for real until 1:00.
