Sorry I haven’t written for a few days or posted any new pictures, we have been quite busy. JiXiang and I have been going for a walk outside everyday. I finally figured out how to use my carrier thingy and she gets all wrapped up and bundled up and we go for a nice walk or a bit of food shopping. She falls asleep every time and seems very relaxed about the whole thing. On Saturday we got snarked at by this old lady who was just disgusted with Li and I for having a baby soooo young outside. Here in Japan they believe that a baby should not leave the house for at least one month. Well besides the fact that I am sure the mother goes a little crazy before the one month is up, allergies are also VERY bad here. JiXiang is not being injured in any way by being exposed to some air.

We also have a very fussy, borderline colicky, baby. Not every night but a few times. Thankfully she tends to settle down and sleep by midnight. It is just five hours of nerve twisting hell before that. She seems quite fine the next day. I, on the other hand, look like hell.

On Friday there was a holiday so Li had no work. We headed out to the photo shop to get JiXiang’s passport and citizenship pictures but the girl was not there. Her mother tried but she was totally useless. We told them that a digital picture was ok, as this was the only way we would be able to zoom in close enough to Ji’s head, but the lady didn’t know how to work the computer. AUGH! So we had to head back on Saturday. No problems, the girl did everything perfectly.

After Li headed off to the dentist and I went to the other photo shop to get pictures developed for our announcement cards. The cool thing is that the picture we are using I took with my cell phone camera. Well my cell phone has a memory stick thingy that I can just copy all my pictures to. I then bring the stick to the photo shop and they have this special machine that I can stick it into and order what ever copies I want. Perfect! So simple.

Then yesterday Li and I went to the print shop and ordered our announcement cards. We will pick them up tonight and I will then start to put the pictures on and should have them all mailed out by the end of the week.

Today, so far, has been a dusting the house day – oh my GOD where do all these damn dust bunnies come from!! I will also take ANOTHER picture of JiXiang and post it as I got in trouble yesterday from Grandpa as there were no new pictures of her on the site.

SHE IS ONLY 2 WEEKS OLD TODAY!!!
