They keep changing the blog page and it keeps screwing me up!!!

Well I don’t know what is going on but at this precise moment there are no comments boxes on any of the blogs that I have checked out including mine. I hope that this is very temporary. I really enjoy comments.

Anyway it is Saturday afternoon. Li just took off to work and I am listening to the Buddhist chanting CD that is mixed in with a bit of pizzazz. I quite enjoy this CD.
I called Dad this morning to tell him that I got his invitation paper for Li. Now all we need is a bank paper and Li’s boss letter. Should be finished this coming week and mailed off promptly. Then we wait.
AUGH!! I hate the wait!!!
Anyway, while on the phone with dad the lovely postman came with my brand new Harry Potter book. I have started it already and plan on spending tonight lost in the world of Potter magic. I am really looking forward to it. I have to go goody and drink shopping to prepare. yaaaa….

This afternoon Li and I went clothes shopping. There are a lot of end-of-spring sales going on right now, so I convinced Li that I needed a few summer skirts. He helped me find a couple of perfect winter skirts a few months back but they are too heavy for this weather. He has again succeeded in helping me find three very nice ankle length very cool and summery skirts that will go with many different tops. He is the best person for me to bring shopping as he is brutally honest and gives me the male opinion, no holds bar. I don’t always like his opinion and sometimes would like to stab him with the nearest coat hanger but he always finds me good stuff and we both only pick cheap. We then headed to this other really cheap clothing store near our place and I bought two more t-top shirt sets thingys and a new bead spread. All in all; 3 skirts, two shirt sets and a bead spread for 100$. Considering that we live in one of the most expensive places to live in the world that is pretty damn good. And I actually like all that I bought. EVEN BETTER!

We also looked for some stuff for Li but the man is worse than most female shoppers I know. Wow!! He is soooooo picky!!! And he likes the GQ suit look. The sweaters over the shoulder and shit are not him though. He is the type that is very comfortable in dress pants. Sometimes I am surprised I married him. Must love him, wow.
hehehe
Gonna cut up the watermelon and crack open the juice.
Harry Potter time.

Ohh another note of interest.
I noticed the other day this blog that is listed by the blogger people as sites worth checking out. I kind of agree with this one. I am going to attemp to attach it to this site as a web link. Hopefully it works.
It is called - Where is Raed?
It is actually a site posted by someone in Bagdad. It is VERY interesting. He just posted a new report about women in Bagdad that have started their own site. You should check it out. Different view point and different opinions. There is no news unless you know all the sides to the story. hmmm

ZEN

One must not blindly belive in the words of the scriptures or to think that the institution of another can lead one to liberation.
One should realize that 'the self-nature is empty' but not cling to this idea.
If while sitting in meditation the mind becomes blank, then it is as lifeless as ashes.
True emptiness is of inestimable value, and all of the dharma can be found in one's mind.
Those who cling to the idea of emptiness cast asperations on the scriptures, and deliberately try to be rid of the words.
If one really wants to be rid of words, then even this idea of 'non-dependance on words' must be banished.
This very phrase, after all, is mearly words.
Thought is a language that has no sound, while words are the symbol of a language.
When language and thinking are excessive, they become a hindrance to wisdom.
