I am HOT!!
It is typhoon season. That means too much rain and then BANG, a perfect hot day that turns all that rain into the worst humidity. I am so sticky and a little grumpy because of it.

Today I headed out to Shizuoka to do my nails again. Very simple and girly this time. I did screw up the right thumbnail 10 minutes after I left the shop. OHHH am I pissed. It is not so screwed that you can notice it immediately. You have to really look. BUT I know it is there!!

Then I headed over to the bookstore to look for some reading material for my bestest student, Mr. Kishi. He has started borrowing elementary level short story stuff from me and reading every night before he goes to bed. He is enjoying studying English so much that his level is just flying along. It is so much fun.
It is students like him that make me love my job.
Thankfully I have more than one like him.
Anyway couldn’t find any. Kim and I are heading out there tomorrow so I will check out another store for him. We are going to finally watch MATRIX. I am very excited about this.

I did encounter one VERY weird thing today.
In the underground tunnel part of the station there was this girl walking along with a pretty basic looking American football T-shirt on. There was a number on the back and the name across the top in HUGE letters was…..

MEISTER

Needless to say I did a double take a few times. Does anyone know if there is someone named Meister on any football team out there somewhere?

OH…
Li and I are now going through the whole complicated-paper-collecting process to get his visa for Canada. We will let you know the dates of our coming when everything looks safe with the visa application.
